Professor Ramon Tamames, ASECOM´S Honorary Academic Advisor

After several months of valuable and rewarding collaboration with our agency, Professor Ramon Tamames has agreed to strengthen his relationship with us as Honorary Academic Advisor.

Professor of Economic Structure and author of numerous and relevant publications on economics and various other topics (History, Ecology, Literature, Lexicology), the long career of Ramón Tamames is widely and worldwide recognized.

He has been Economic Consultant of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Institute of Latin America Integration (INTAL), and the Inter-American Development Bank (BID). He is also member of the Club of Rome, Jean Monnet European Union Professorship, winner of the Rey Jaime I Award of Economy, and National Prize of Economy and Environment, and one of the signatories of the Spanish Constitution of 1978. Brilliant lecturer and writer, he is also Doctor "Honoris Causa" by the Universities of Guatemala, Buenos Aires, Lima, Beijing and Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid.

In early 2012 his most recent book, The Spanish Economy in the Euro Crisis: a National Project, was presented by the Spanish Minister of Economy and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos, a work that analyzes the causes of the serious difficulties we are going through, proposing measures for economic recovery.

On the 12th June he was elected member of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.
